Toy Room Orginazation

by meandmy3

If your toy room is anything like ours used to be you are more than likely just going to look in, shut the door and walk away. That is a thing of the past in our house. I got organized. As a mom of 4.5 year old triplets, 2 boys and a girl I have everything form dolls to trucks and was always stepping on something. I knew I needed to do something to get them more organized and something that would make cleaning up easy for the kids.

I first went shopping, I am a big fan of Target so off I went. I found these great cubed book shelves that are perfect for toy rooms, in fact I would not be surprised if they were not made for that exact purpose. I got the fabric inserts for several of the cubes and labeled them with pictures of what went in them. My children now do not have to pull every thing out to find what they need, and they can put toys back where they go.

In addition I have an art closet. All of my art supplies, scissors, glue etc are organized in plastic bins in the closet. Larger toys are in two different larger toy boxes, in which I labeled as well with pictures of what goes in there. Granted I still step on toys from time to time but it is not as bad as it once was.
