Okay, well this is a game to challenge the mind.

The game from Binary Arts received a national award from Mensa and is recommended for ages 8 and up.
It is possible younger children will be able to have a good go at it though.

An ideal kids travel game, ThinkFun Rush Hour has the instructions printed on the box that is used as storage and the play tray.
The 40 cards which have the solution printed on the back, are stored in a drawer in the box, so everything is kept neatly packaged.

We like that there are four levels of play from beginner to expert (the expert cards can be very challenging)

Basically you take a card, and set the cars up to match the card.
There is one red car that you need to remove from the other cars

Although you may think this sounds easy, the cars are on tracks so can only slide around and manoeuvre forwards or backwards.
This gets kids thinking strategically as they try to figure out the best moves to make to get the red car out of the way.

This game is for one player, you can extend this bey setting up a tournament with each player being given a certain amount of time to solve the puzzle.
You could also purchase a puzzle for each child and have them play against each other.

can be bought. These are all under $6 and each set comes with 40 more cards and an additional vehicle.
