by SUE

Im not sure how health this recipes is but me and my kids get up on the weekend early in the morning not every weekend but at less once a month and make this berry muffins and we talk and have fun making them together.

I think it brings us as a family together. it just like when i was a kid and mom took us all down the ceiler and make pizza and try to teach us how to make them.

The recipes is morning muffins with blueberries 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar divided 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 3/4cup all purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 taespoon salt 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon grated orange peel 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries thawed and dried preheat oven to 400 f paper-line 12 reg. size muffin pan.
Combine 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl set aside.
Combine flour,1/2 remaining sugar baking powder and salt in a bowl.
Combine milk, oil, egg, vanilla, and orange peel in a small bowl.mix till blended. make a well in the flour mixture add milk mixture; stir just until moistened fold in berry.
Spoon in the miffin pan evenly fillinf 2/3 the way full. bake 15-18 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the cented comes out clean

Remove out the oven and spinkle sugur mixture over hot miffin
I think the kids enjoy it because of the family time we spend together and the fun we had making them the, flour fights and just the time we spend together
I think thats the word that makes this recipe the one the kids will remember .
Sometime time and togetherness is all it take. we could have burned them and we would laught about that we eveny change the recipes a little. It was just fun

Pasta Dish

by Anne

One of my kids favorite lunch time foods is a very simple pasta dish, that they in fact can not get enough of.
They ask everyone to make it for them, including when visiting friends.
It is so easy that anyone can do it, and trust me if my picky eaters want it so will your children.

Half a box of Angel Hair Pasta - Cooked according to directions on the box
Three slices of cheese, Kraft American Cheese works best.
Cut up pieces of ham 1/3 cup of milk 1 tsp of butter
Cook Pasta according to directions on box, drain water, while on low heat add milk, cheese ham and butter.
Stir till cheese is melted and serve. I often serve this with rolls and cut up pieces of carrots and Celery. They love it.
