Ants on a log

by Martha

Ants On A Log Use as many clean and trimmed stalks of celery as needed and cut into two to three inch lengths.
With a butter knife spread either peanut butter or cream cheese or both, depending on your children's tastes, into the two to three inch lengths of celery.
Then top with either raisins or craisins along the length of the 'log'.
This is always a hit for the children's hor de erve table.
I liked to make a seperate table for the kids during parties. It makes them feel like they are a part of the party and that their taste is taken into account.
It also teaches them to mimic the manners of the adults they see around them. It is healthy and they can help to prepare it as well so that makes it fun!
They learn early that eating healthy does not mean it has to taste bad and that it can be an enjoyable experience.
